Muscat – Several Dubai-bound flights were diverted to Muscat due to unfavourable weather conditions, including a Qantas flight operated with an A380 aircraft.

Oman Airport Management Company (OAMC) in a statement said all efforts were taken to accommodate diversions and additional aircraft from the neighboring airports, which includes Emirates and FlyDubai flights.

Dubai Airports had said that around inbound flights were diverted today from the DXB and a number of outbound flights were delayed due to weather conditions.

"Dubai Airports can confirm that normal operations at DXB have been disrupted as result of weather conditions persisting since last night. A total of 15 inbound flights were diverted to neighbouring airports, while a number of outbound flights were also delayed owing to the disruption," the company said in a statement.

The comfort of all passengers is our top priority and Dubai Airports is working with airlines and our other stakeholders to minimise inconvenience to our customers and normalize operations as quickly as possible, it said.
