Musandam gets isolated rain due to low pressure

The latest satellite images show that the effect of the trough of low pressure has started affecting Musandam Governorate with isolated rain early from Friday morning, reported Oman Meteorology.

The national multi-hazard early warning center predicts that the low pressure will last until Monday with expected isolated rain, occasionally thunder showers, associated with fresh wind and hail affecting gradually the governorates of Musandam, Muscat, Buraimi, Al Dhahira, North and South Al Batinah, Al Dakhliya and North and South Al Sharqiya with chances of cloud development and isolated rain over the governorates Al-Wusta and Dhofar.
Sea state expected to be moderate to rough along the coastal areas of Musandam and Oman Sea with maximum wave height ranging between 2.0 to 3.0 meters.
The public authority for civil aviation advises public to take an extreme precautions during the flow of rain, avoid crossing wadis , avoid sailing during the weather condition and follow the latest weather bulletins.
