MUSCAT, Sept 19 - Injured Oman under-16 captain Muntasser al Zadjali hopes his team-mates will achieve top results in the AFC U-16 Championship in Malaysia. “Despite I am not with the team, I am confident that my colleagues will record top results in the AFC U-16 Cup in Malaysia,” Muntasser told Oman Daily Observer, saying he “really missed playing for Oman” in the championship due to his injury. Al Zadjali, 16, will undergo a surgery on Thursday. He has been selected to the national U-16 team in 2016-2017 season and played a good role in securing Oman’s qualification for the Asian championship. “I am confident that our national players will make Sultanate proud in Malaysia. Our aim is to qualify for the World Cup for junior level and represent Asian continent there,” Al Zadjali added. “ I would like to thank coach Abdullah al Mahrazi who discovered me at a very early stage. I learned all the technical skills from him,” he concluded.
