Municipal Council heads in Governorates take oath

MUSCAT: Governors, Heads of the Municipal Councils in the governorates on Monday took oath before Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior, according to Article 10 of the Municipal Councils Law.
The governors who took oath were Sheikh Yahya bin Hamoud bin Hamad al Maamari, Governor of North Al Sharqiyah, Sayyid Khalifa bin Al Murdas bin Ahmed al Busaidy, Governor of Musandam, Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said bin Ibrahim al Busaidy, Governor of Al Buraimi, Dr Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Hilal al Saadi, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, Sheikh Muhanna bin Saif bin Salim al Lamki, Governor of North Al Batinah, Sheikh Hilal bin Said bin Hamdan al Hajri, Governor of South Al Batinah, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mustahail bin Salim Shamas, Governor of South Al Sharqiyah, Sheikh
Said bin Hamyar bin Mohammed al Shihi, Governor of Al Dhahirah and Sheikh Meathad bin Mohammed bin Abdullah al Yaaqoubi, Governor of Al Wusta.
The Minister of Interior met the governors and thanked them for
their appreciated efforts made during the 1st term of the Municipal
Councils.
He also asked them to convey his thanks and appreciation to outgoing members of the Municipal Councils, valuing their efforts exerted during their membership at the Council.
Sayyid Faisal wished the governors and current members of the Municipal Councils success in carrying out their roles.
He also urged all to exert further efforts in serving the country and the citizen.
The meeting was attended by Eng Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.
