MUSCAT: Muscat Securities Market (MSM) general index 30 on Thursday added 1.70 points, to close at 4,929.80 points, compared to the last session. The trading value stood at RO 2,835,212, comprising a rise of 0.4 per cent compared to the last session, which stood at RO 2,822,933. The market value fell by 0.050 per cent to reach about RO 17.94 billion.
The value of shares bought by non-Omani investors reached RO 1,471,000, comprising 51.88 per cent. The value of shares sold by non-Omani investors reached RO 1,193,000, comprising 42.07 per cent. The net non-Omani investment rose by 9.81 per cent to RO 278,000.
Meanwhile, the price of Oman oil (May delivery) on Thursday declined by 78 cents to $61.46 per barrel from Wednesday’s $62.24 at the Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME). The average price of Oman oil (March delivery) has stabilised at $66.32 per barrel, $4.75 higher than February delivery. — ONA
