Mosque opened in Barka

A new mosque named after Imam Al Muhanna bin Jaifar aI Yahmadi was opened in Barka in a ceremony presided over by Shaikh Dr Kahlan bin Nabhan al Kharousi, Assistant Grand Mufti of the Sultanate, on Tuesday. Located in the Fifth Al Haram village in the Wilayat of Barka, the new mosque occupies an area of nearly 5,000 sq m with a 2,200 sq m built-up area. It has two prayer halls with a capacity to accommodate up to 2,000 worshippers. It also boasts, among other facilities, accommodations, two 37-tall minarets, 19 bathrooms and 3 ablution areas.
