More Omanis set to replace expat pharmacists in MOH

Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has released the list of candidates who have been selected to the fill the positions that of an pharmacists (grade 8) and assistant pharmacist (ninth grade) in some of the public health institutions to replace the expatriates.


The Ministry said these 54 selected candidates should confirm their appointment at the ministry's HR departments during official working hours.


Earlier, the ministry requested the eligible Omani aspirants, willing to work in some of the advertised positions, to apply in person between December 30 and January 10, 2019.


Some of the important vacancies announced by the ministry are that of a nutritionist, speech therapist, prostheses and X-ray technicians.


Recently, shura council committee met with some pharmaceutical graduates and assistants from private colleges seeking work as soon as they completed the courses.


During the meeting, many of the challenges faced by job seekers were raised in the field of pharmacy and pharmaceutical assistants. They also requested that the results of the interviews be announced to those who had successfully passed as well as the replacement of the expatriates.
