MUSCAT: The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) held a number of orientation programmes for students approved in external scholarships following the announcement of the results of second sorting for the academic year 2017-2018.

These courses were carried out in coordination with embassies and cultural attaché of the countries that the students are going to study.

Meanwhile, the students were briefed about main points pertaining to visa requirements, studying lifestyles and the countries’ regulations. The two programmes were dedicated to the studies abroad for students in both Ireland and UK.

Important instructions and advices were provided to the students wishing to study in the two nations with regard to their accommodation, travel procedures, studying systems, students’ enquiries and pre-arrival information.

The programmes highlighted the significance of understanding other cultures, tolerance, coexistence and adherence to the country’s rule and systems.
