MoH holds workshop on lean management

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Health (MoH), represented by the Directorate-General of Medical Supply in collaboration with the Arab Experts Training Institute, organised recently a training workshop for the pharmacists on Lean Management at the Continuing Professional Education Department.
Around 30 pharmacists from various MoH health institutions are participating in this workshop.
It focuses on improving the professional competence of the participants in the field of strategic management and planning process.
It also aims at developing the required basics of lean principles.
The five-day workshop comes to train the pharmacists in the MoH institutions within the ministry’s orientation to qualify all health workers, especially the pharmacists, on the modern models of the professional improvement and provision integrated pharmaceutical services, as well as to further developing the pharmacists performance.
The expected benefits of this training workshop are skills development, capacity building, soft skills, improving works and human resources management, technical support and projects management, which will reflect the quality of pharmaceutical and health services in general.
