Around 50 participants from various concerned health institutions, including Herbal Medicine Clinic at the Diwan of Royal court, and Applied Science Labs at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), as well as a number of private herbal clinics, were attended the workshop.
The workshop reviewed various topics including the regulation of herbal medicine in Oman, counterfeit herbal medicines in Oman, as well as medicinal plants and herbal products. Prof Souad Saklli, WHO Consultant, discussed the international herbovigilance regulation and touched upon the Moroccan experience. — ONA
