MoH at Geneva World Health Assembly

MUSCAT: The Sultanate represented by the Ministry of Health (MoH) will take part in the 71st World Health Assembly (WHA71) meetings, which will be held from today in Geneva, Switzerland. The Sultanate’s delegation will be led by Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health. The WHA71 agenda will discuss the report of the Executive Board during its sessions as well as several strategic matters. The meeting will also include events regarding global action on patient safety. On the sidelines of the meeting, Minister of Health will take part in the 5th Consultative Technical Meeting for Arab Health Ministers. Dr Al Saeedi will meet the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Health Ministers and the Health Ministers of Brunei and Lithuania. The minister will talk about the 2020 World Cancer Leaders’ Summit and World Cancer Congress which will be hosted by Oman. — ONA
