Ministry launches training for government staff in pvt sector

MUSCAT: The practical training project for government employees at the private sector enterprises, which is implemented by the Ministry of Civil Service, in collaboration with private sector organizations, was launched on Wednesday under the auspices of Shaikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service.


The Minister of Civil Service said in a statement to reporters that the project enhances the Ministry of Civil Service’s endeavours to establish innovative partnership with the private sector organisations in human resources development.

The project, which aims at briefing public employees on work environment at the private sector, will enhance sharing of experience among public and private sectors’ employees.

The project is expected to help in identifying and promoting the best practices in both sectors.


During the launching ceremony, memorandum of cooperation (MoC) between the Ministry of Civil Service and PDO, Oman LNG, National Bank of Oman, Al Roya Press and Publishing Establishment and KPMG were signed by Sayyid Salim bin Musallam al Busaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Service for Administrative Development Affairs.


The signing of MoC comes within the efforts made to enhance public private partnership (PPP), improve the service level rendered to the public and create a real partnership with the private sector. The launching ceremony was attended by undersecretaries and officials at public and private sectors. — ONA
