Middle East College assigns new Board of Trustees members

MUSCAT: Middle East College (MEC) has recently assigned new Board of Trustees (BoT) members from different countries around the world during a meeting held at the college led by Dr Glenn Christo Kharkongor, Pro- Chancellor of the Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong, India, and the Chairperson of the BoT, to review the college’s goals, strategic plans, procedures and regulations.


MEC’s Board of Trustees comprises members from different institutions all around the world including Oman, India, Spain, United Kingdom and Morocco, who meet regularly to review the strategic goals of the institution to ensure that the interests of the institution, its student community, and the society at large are protected.


The Board of Trustees consists of high-profile members representing the different stakeholders and sectors including Khalid al Siyabi to represent the Omani entrepreneurial sector, Dr Abdullah al Sabahy and Lefeer Muhamed to represent the stakeholders, Ali al Balushi to represent the government business sector.


Sunder George to represent the private business sector, Dr Hamed al Naamani to represent the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), Dr Rahma al Mahrouqiyah and Dr Salim al Naabi to represent the public higher education sector, Dr Shirin Madon, Prof Ramon Torrent and Prof Wail Benjelloun to represent the international academia sector and Dr Kiran G R, Dean, MEC, as its representative member and convener.
