SALALAH: Sultan’s Armed Forces’ (SAF) medical services represented by the Sultan Armed Forces Hospital in Salalah has organised the second Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Conference in Salalah. The conference saw presentation of several working papers which dealt with the major risk factor for cardiovascular disease such as hypertension, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, dyslipidemia and arteriosclerosis. The conference came out with recommendations for preventing coronary artery disease by lowering cholesterol levels. The lectures were delivered by professors from Italian universities and doctors from SAF medical services and Sultan Qaboos University Hospital. — ONA
