BEIRUT: Majlis Ash’shura is participating in the two-day Arab Regional Symposium for Parliamentarians on Sustainable Development Plan (SDP) 2030, organised by United Nations Economic and Social Commission for West Asia (ESCWA) in Beirut, which began on Wednesday. The seminar aims at raising awareness of parliamentarians and advising participants of the different elements of the development plan in the Arab region, as well as the aims of this plan. Majlis Ash’shura is represented by Salim bin Mohammed Za’abanout and Yosuef bin Ahmed al Balushi, members of Majlis Ash’shura. The symposium focuses on involving the development plan 2030 in the functions of the members of parliaments, including representation, drafting laws and oversight. — ONA
