MUSCAT: The Directorate-General of Khoula Hospital, in collaboration with the Directorate-General of Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances at the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and National Committee for Drug and Psychotropic Substances Affairs, organised on Wednesday an awareness event at the hospital. The event was held under the patronage of Sayyida Hujaija bint Jaifar al Said in the presence of senior officials of the hospital. The awareness event included a number of educational lectures addressing the risks of drugs and its implications and targeting the in-patients, outpatients, students and social workers at the schools.
It also included an exhibition aimed to raise the awareness of drugs risks, identify the addiction methods and the effect of the social and psychological circumstances in pushing to the dangerous drug addiction world. The chief guest toured the exhibition, which contains several booths for the nursing affairs, ROP Directorate-General of Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and a booth for the National Committee for Drug and Psychotropic Substances Affairs.
