Kalyan Jewellers invests RO 5.3 million in Oman

Kalyan Jewellers, a more than-100-year-old brand headquartered in South India with 118 showrooms across India and West Asia, has made massive RO 5.3 million investment in the Sultanate, according to its Executive Director.


Speaking to the Observer in an exclusive interview, Ramesh Kalyanaraman (pictured), the Executive Director said that the brand’s foray into Oman with three outlets across the capital city will see a wide array of ornaments from across the world catering to the diverse populace in the country.


“We have invested a total of RO 4 million in three showrooms in the capital area in three showrooms which will be a one-stop jewellery for people with different tastes and preferences and with diverse ethnic backgrounds. We are planning additional investments in the coming days in various governorates across the country,” he said.


The three showrooms located at Al Ma’abelah, Ruwi and Baushar will be launched on December 29, 2017 by its global brand ambassador and film icon Amitabh Bachchan along with other brand ambassadors from the tinsel town like Prabhu Ganesan, Nagarjuna, Shivraj Kumar and Manju Warrier in the presence of TS Kalyanaraman, Kalyan Jewellers’ Chairman and Managing Director and Rajesh Kalyanaraman and Ramesh Kalyanaraman, the brand’s Executive Directors along with other local dignitaries and ministerial representatives. Openings are scheduled at 3.30pm at Nesto Hypermarket, Al Ma’abelah, 4.30pm at Ruwi High Street and 5.30pm at Avenues Mall, Baushar.


Ramesh said while Ameera — the Arabic Collection that is blended with a fusion of Arab and Indian tastes in mind, Mudhra, a handcrafted antique jewellery, Ziah, an exquisite range of diamond jewellery, Glo, Dancing diamonds, Nimah, authentic heritage Jewellery, Anokhi, uncut diamonds, Apoorva, diamonds for special occasions, Antara, wedding Diamonds and Hera, for daily wear diamonds and Rang, precious stones jewellery are created with the customers’ tastes in mind.


“All our collections are drawn from our portfolio of contemporary and traditional designs, and will offer selections for everyday as well as bridal wear and festive occasions”,


adds Ramesh. Shoppers at Kalyan Jewellers will also be eligible for surprise New Year gifts with every purchase of gold, diamond and precious stone jewellery.
