Judicial skills discussed with Turkish delegation

MUSCAT: Shaikh Dr Ishaq bin Ahmed al Busaidy, Chairman of the Supreme Court, Vice-President of the Supreme Judiciary Council, Chairman of the Administrative Affairs Council for Judiciary received in his office on Sunday Ismail Rustu Cirit, President of the Court of Cassation of Turkey, who is currently visiting the Sultanate. A session of talks was held with Shaikh Dr Al Busaidy in the presence of deputy chairmen of the Supreme Court and heads of administrations at the Council. The session touched on various experiences with relation to judiciary. The session also covered means of sharing judicial expertise between the two countries and the importance of enhancing judicial independence, as well as means of promoting it in various areas. The Turkish judicial delegation arrived in the Sultanate on Sunday. The delegation was received by Shaikh Dr Ishaq, the Turkish ambassador to the Sultanate and officials at the Council. — ONA
