By Staff Reporter — MUSCAT:  Dec. 24: The Court of First Instance in Muscat has passed a judgment against a business house for trading fake goods and foodstuffs that are harmful to health and unfit for human consumption. The business house was penalised with a fine of RO 20,000 and a jail sentence of six months. The Inspection team found repeated instances of transportation of expired goods and manipulation of production and expiry dates. A tool used to remove and replace stickers with new production dates for  food items, which included meat, fish, chicken and oil and cheese, supplied to restaurants and supermarkets was confiscated.
