MUSCAT, Jan 28 - The board members of International Tent Pegging Federation (ITPF) approved series of decisions during its board meeting at Grand Hormuz hotel on Tuesday. The board members approved the Tent Pegging World Cup in 2021 and to upgrade the federation’s tournaments to Grand Slam status including individual competitions.
The board also approved the executive committee which is chaired by Mohammed Essa al Fairuz, Chairman of ITPF while Yousef Ali al Hoti as Vice Chairman for technical affairs. Executive committee of ITPF included Haider al Jamili, Haitham al Lawati and Salim al Balushi.
During the meeting, ITPF presented bids of different countries to host upcoming tournaments including South Africa’s bid to host under-16 and under-21 tournaments, Pioneers tournament and Qualification tournament for World Cup. Also, Pakistan bid to host under-16 and Pioneers tournament, while Egypt will compete for hosting the military championship and group qualifications for world cup.
On the other hand, the ITPF will organise its Annual General Meeting at the Crown Plaza Hotel on Wednesday .
