ISM celebrates 42nd annual day

MUSCAT: Indian School Muscat celebrated 42nd annual day amidst zest, vibrance and elation in the school’s multipurpose hall. Aftab Patel, CEO, Al Omaniya Financial Services, graced the occasion as the chief guest.


Mohammad Sabir Faizi, Finance Director, Board of Directors of Indian Schools in the Sultanate of Oman, N Omanakuttan, President of Indian School Muscat Managing Committee (SMC), members of the SMC, Officiating Principal, Deep Wilson, teachers, parents and students were present to witness the grand event.


Wilson welcomed the gathering and presented the school’s annual report. Omanakuttan applauded the school for its 42 years of success in moulding young minds. He said that the annual day was not only a time for celebration but also a time for reflection.


Chief guest Patel emphasised the pivotal role of teachers in the path of learning and appreciated them for their noble service. He urged the students to follow their dreams with perseverance and self confidence and reminded them that there were no short cuts to success.


The Gold and Silver medal winners of the CBSE National Athletic Meet were bestowed with mementos on the occasion.


The cultural programme was a blend of music, song and dance. pre-primary presented Nritya Tarang, primary children sang songs on India, ‘Chamke Gagan Mein’ and ‘Jai Jana Bharat’, the middle section students staged a dance on the history of the brave leaders of India titled ‘Flavours of India’ and an orchestra of instrumental fusion culminating to a colourful finale by the Senior Section students titled ‘Nav Chetna’ celebration
