Muscat, August 29 - The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the departments under the ministry will continue to provide transactions through the ‘Invest easily’ portal during the Eid al Adha holidays, from August 31 to September 4.
Through a ministerial decision, the ministry had recently implemented a system under which its employees could perform work outside office even during holidays.
The decision No 157/2017 was aimed at increasing the productivity of the staff through this decision.
The ministry took this decision after a successful remote work experience previously when a number of employees completed their work in shopping malls across governorates.
The one-stop shop is not confined to a specific place or time.
It will gradually move to provide commercial register services and other services on
the Internet from any location and time.
The “Invest Easy” system allows the ministry employees to follow up the applications submitted by the investors without having to visit the ministry premises.
The Invest Easy portal provides 77 self-services to investors, such as opening a business register, adding / deleting business activities, licensing business services, locating their businesses, adding / deleting signatories and other electronic services.
