MUSCAT: Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour al Hasani, Minister of Information, received at his office on Tuesday participants of the international symposium themed ‘The Omani Al Muhallab bin Abi Sufra Al Azdi’ organised by University of Nizwa. The minister welcomed researchers, academics, historians and those interested in the Omani history from the Sultanate and outside and wished them success in their efforts. The personality and life of Omani warrior Al Muhallab bin Abi Sufra Al Azdi were reviewed from various aspects, especially their political, military and leadership roles during the historical period in which he lived. The participants expressed their thanks and appreciation for providing them an opportunity to speak in the international symposium, which will highlight many facets of the warrior as well as giving them the opportunity to conduct research and study this significant historical figure. — ONA
