Muscat : In Oman, the rupee is currently trading above 185 against a rial , an all time record, said R Madhusoodanan, general manager, Global Money Exchange.
According to XE.com currency converter, the Omani rial fetched RO185. 67 as of 9.20am.
The Indian rupee is trading around 71.33 per dollar after it opened at another fresh record low of 71.28 versus previous close 71.21.
On Monday, the rupee closed to a record low of 71.21, down 22 paise from the Friday's close of 70.99, after hitting intra-day low of 71.23.
Rupee had a positive start on Monday as it opened higher by 19 paise at 70.80 per dollar but it reversed all its morning gains and closed lower on the back of concerns over rising crude oil prices.
