Indian lecturer asked to leave Oman after speech

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MofA) has condemned a speech made by Suleiman bin Tahir Husseini Nadvi, an Indian, in his lecture before the Faculty of Forensic Science. The Foreign Ministry noted that the competent authorities in the Sultanate has asked him to leave.


"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its condemnation of the speech delivered by Sulaiman bin Tahir al Husseini al Nadawi, an Indian national, in front of the College of Shari'ah Sciences, on Tuesday, 28 Dhu al-Hijjah 1438 AH (September 19, 2017), which came out of the context of the lecture in a manner inconsistent with the principles, approaches, and policies of the Sultanate," the ministry said.
