Bait Al Khonji has always served as a meeting point for people from various nations. In the early days when there were still no hotels, Al Khonji’s majlis in Muttrah was always open and captains of ships were known to stay there.
This holy month of Ramadhan saw Bait al Khonji host a variety of guests for Iftar. Most recently, Khalil al Khonji, chairman of the board of directors of Muscat University, hosted a cross section of the community for a traditional Iftar.
