MUSCAT, JUNE 12 - Entertainment themed around the internationally popular Ice Age franchise will be offering this Eid al Fitr at City Centre Muscat and City Centre Qurum. Ice Age characters Sid the sloth and Diego the saber-toothed cat will be hosted at the two retail destinations during June 15-22. “We would like to invite families to come and join the fun-filled events and activities on this blessed occasion. We aim to provide visitors of all ages great moments by bringing unique entertainment that cannot be found anywhere else in the Sultanate, making our malls the leading shopping and leisure destinations in the Sultanate,” said Husam al Mandhari, Senior Mall Manager for City Centre Muscat.
The malls will host a variety of entertainment, the highlight of which will be three exciting activity areas based on ‘Ice Age: Collision Course (2016)’. Children can also make their dreams of becoming an astronaut come to life for a day in the Scrat’s Starlab Dome where they will watch a specially designed edutainment video and get a guide through the Solar System, complete with an astronaut’s suit and certificate.
The event features a Collision Course with fun-filled games and workshops such as Blast Off, Puzzled and Acorn Toss where young visitors can get creative, compete and even take-home souvenirs.
Favourite Ice Age heroes will be staged at City Centre Qurum from June 15 to 17 and at City Centre Muscat from June 19 to 22. Four free live performances will take place daily at 5 pm, 6 pm, 8 pm and 9 pm.
