MUSCAT, Sept 11 – Oman Football Association (OFA) will hold the His Majesty’s Cup draw for last 32 round at Kempinski hotel in Muscat on Wednesday. The draw ceremony will be held under the patronage of HH Sayyid Harib bin Thuwaini al Said in presence of Salim al Wahaibi, OFA chairman, and representatives of clubs. As many as 32 clubs will be competing to clinch the coveted title including: defending champions Al Nasr, Sohar (runners-up), Al Suwaiq, Al Shabab, Al Nahda, Al Oruba, Dhofar, Saham, , Muscat, Mirbat, Oman club, Al Rustaq, Majees, Sur, Al Wusta, Al Salam, Fanja, Nizwa, Quriyat, Jalaan, Samayil, Al Bashaer, Al Mudhaibi, Al Seeb, Bahla, Bidiyah, Al Musannah, Yanqul and Ahli Sidab.
The HM Cup draw function will include a visual presentation that will speak on the history of the cup since the first edition until the last edition. Also, the OFA has completed on issuing a special booklet about HM Cup which will be distributed during the event. The champions of the HM cup will win a prize money of RO 95,000 along with the cup and gold medals, while the runners-up will get RO 60,000 and silver medals.
