His Majesty Sultan Qaboos conferred Al Nu’man Military Order (Second Class) on Admiral Sir Philip Jones, Chief of the Naval Staff in the United Kingdom (UK), in appreciation of his efforts and contributions in strengthening ties of the existing military cooperation between the two friendly countries. The order was handed over to the Admiral Sir Philip Jones by Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, when he received him at his office at Mu’askar Bait Al Falaj on Tuesday. His Majesty also conferred Oman Military Order (Third Class) on Retried Colonel Nigel Knocker in appreciation of his efforts during his duty as Ex-Chairman of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) Association.
