MUSCAT: As part of its social responsibility, Haya Water has recently organised a blood donation campaign in collaboration with Ministry of Health represented by the Blood Bank. This campaign, which was held in Bait Haya, is continuation of the humanitarian initiatives undertaken by the company and its employees and a contribution to the community.
Hanan Yousef al Balushi, Corporate Communication Manager, spoke about this campaign and said: “The organisation of this campaign is a continuation of the company’s efforts to spread health awareness and to promote its repercussions among employees. The company has been organising this blood donation campaign every year along with other humanitarian and community initiatives that are organised by the company on annual basis.
This campaign aims to support the efforts exerted by Ministry of Health represented by the Blood Bank and various health sector institutions to protect the community and to supply the bank with its needs from blood. The campaign also contributes to promote awareness about the importance of blood donation on a regular basis and its positive impact on society”.
The Corporate Communication Manager praised Haya Water staff enthusiasm and quick respond to this initiative. In fact, the company has many initiatives and charitable contributions, which stem from its strong belief of its social responsibility towards the community. It is worth mentioning that Haya Water employees from various work sites have enthusiastically participated in this campaign.
Hanan thanked all the employees who have participated in this campaign, especially those winners who are always keen to annually participate in such a campaign.
