#Applicable to all Omani Citizens above 18 years of age and own a vehicle or a boat and who has a total monthly income not exceeding RO600

Following the decision of the Council of Ministers, the National Subsidy System (NSS) has been introduced to support citizens with fuel subsidies applicable to all Omani Citizens who are above 18 years of age and own a vehicle or a boat and who has a total monthly income not exceeding RO600.

The fuel subsidy will be available only for Mogas 91 and comes into effect whenever the price of M91 is 180bz or above as per the price set by the Government on a monthly basis.

The following are the benefits for the Subsidy users who are eligible for the Subsidy:

Avail M91 fuel at a subsidised rate of 180bz (until further notice from the government)

Upto 200 litres of fuel per month will be offered at the subsidised rate that can be used to cover around 1,800km per month.

The fuel subsidy will be operated through a fuel subsidy card that will be distributed by the fuel marketing company,  to be pre-selected by the eligible subsidy seeker as a preferred partner for M91 Fuel.

The subsidy users are responsible to inform the Government of Oman of the change in their eligibility criteria through the NSS Portal at any point in time.

The Fuel Subsidy Card is required to be produced at the fuel station by the subsidy user at the time of dispensing the fuel. Application for the fuel subsidy is done through the National Subsidy System (NSS) Portal or through the Mobile App for NSS. Approved Subsidy Users can login to the NSS Application to monitor the fuel utilisation and track the status of the Fuel Subsidy Card and his/her personal details.

The Fuel Subsidy System operates in coordination between the Oman Fuel Pricing Committee, fuel marketing companies (FMCs), Royal Oman Police, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
