Muscat: To welcome the spirit of World Cup football in Oman, all expat football club players had assembled at the GPDCO ground with their supporting team kit, to witness a 11-a-side friendly match arranged between the fans of the all time World Cup favourites Argentina and Brazil. The thrilling match ended in a draw with a score of 1- 1, but the event reflected the unity and strength of the Expat Muscat Football Association and provided a vital base for a deeper friendship between the rival club players.
In addition, a penalty shoot out was also organised for 4 teams with highest supporters during the event which was identified as Argentina, Brazil, England & Spain. All players from major football clubs like FC Kerala, Realex FC, Dejavu FC,Team STS, Soccer Fans FC, Brothers Barka FC, FC Ruwi, Smashers FC, Challengers FC were part of this exciting event. Manjappada Oman (Kerala Blasters Fans) played a remarkable role in making the event a major success.
