Four held for auto arson in Rustaq

MUSCAT: The Directorate-General of Inquires and Criminal Investigation at South al Batinah Police Command rounded up four citizens charged with setting a vehicle on fire in the Wilayat of Rustaq, according to a Royal Oman Police (ROP) official. Earlier, the Rustaq Police Station received a report about a car fire set by unknown people. A civil defence team rushed to the incident site and put out the flames. After conducting an extensive investigation into the incident, the police eventually managed to identify the culprits behind the crime and referred them to the public prosecution for completion of legal action. It should be noted that the vehicle which was set on fire was involved in late-night drifting in the Industrial Quarter in Rustaq.
