MUSCAT: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) invited industrial companies and establishments to register at Sultan Qaboos Industrial Excellence Award before the expiry of the period for registration from Sunday.
Each establishment and company that will take part will get a report highlighting its status based on a number criteria that will highlight the areas of strength and how the establishment can improve its performance and productivity.
A new criterion namely innovation, has been added to the new version of the award.
The most innovative factory will get a cup.
The other criteria for the award includes leadership, production processes, manufacturing processes, relationship with customers, employees’ performance, industrial performance, financial performance, marketing performance and corporate social responsibility which includes charitable and environmental initiatives and finally health and safety.
To register in the competition, the factory should be licensed and should have make profits from operations at the last two years. Interested applicants should fill up the designated forms and meet the requirements.
Entries will be judged by a judging panel from industrial sector, in addition to a number of academicians and researchers who have received training on assessing competitors for the awards. — ONA
