MUSCAT, JAN 23 -

The 35 Omani senior government participants of the National Leadership and Competitiveness Program (NLCP) are now mid-way through their learning journey. Participants worked in their groups to progress their application projects — each group was allocated a Subject Matter Expert from PwC (the NLCP Application Partner), selected based on their extensive experience and expertise in the specific project field.

The NLCP Projects are intended as a mechanism to apply the learning from the programme to real challenges and opportunities facing the Sultanate of Oman, achieving a comprehensive economic development with sustainable revenue. There is a diverse range of projects focused on very practical solutions to increase the competitiveness of the country and so impact on the economy. The groups will be presenting their project progress to the Advisory Committee to seek feedback on the scope and proposed solutions.

The NLCP is a first of its kind initiative in the Sultanate. The learning journey was built to develop public-sector leaders with the tools, techniques, skills and competences to address those issues that can improve the competitiveness of Oman. The program has a strong personal development focus that enables participants to address their own leadership style and so ensure they impact on the performance of the country through their government role.
