Muscat: The eighth exhibition of Omani women photographers was inaugurated on Tuesday by Her Highness Sayyida Hujaijah bint Jaifar al Said at the Photographic Society of Oman affiliated to Sultan Qaboos High Center for Culture and Science. Fifty works by 40 Omani photographers on display were selected from more than 700 photographs by 219 photographers.
Her Highness Sayyida Hujaijah said the images are proof of the talent of young Omani women photographers, and this creativity enabled them to represent the Sultanate to attend the international competitions. Ahmed bin Abdullah al Busaidi, Director of the Society, said the exhibition, which is organised by the society on the occasion of the Omani Women’s Day, will be accompanied by a workshop on studio photography and a field trip for participating photographers and organisers of the exhibition.
