Event on special education, learning difficulties concludes

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Private Schools, concluded an event on special education and learning difficulties at Al Saad International School. The two-day event was aimed to highlight the role of the private schools in Oman by paying attention to learning difficulties faced by students. About 200 students from 23 schools representing various cases of special education and disabilities, including hearing, mental and visual impairments, were actively involved. The event sought to stimulate motivation, working with the special education and learning difficulties, and to impart new skills and experience. In addition, the event sought to acquire creative methods to deal with special situations, and to highlight the role of special education specialists in private schools. The forum included training workshops for teachers and parents.
