Nature watchdog and protector Environment Society of Oman (ESO) recently launched its Ramadhan Quiz initiative challenging participants to test their environmental knowledge.
The activity kicked off at Muscat International Hotel in Salalah on may 30 and teams (maximum of five) will still have a chance to participate in the Sur and Masirah league which will be conucted on June 4 and 5, 2017 respectively.
Interested participants can book their individual seats and form a team at the venue or they can already pre-form their team. More information can be collected from the organisation’s Facebook page or on its website: eso.org.om
On May 29, the organisation launched a clean up project in Masirah beaches.
ESO reported that they collected nearly 35 tons of fishing nets which was made possible through the help of Be’ah and a few volunteers.
ESO believes that it takes one committed person to make a change and cleaning up the beaches starts by raising awareness so that more people will follow. The organisation also believes that no one should underestimate the power of committed effort.
