Equestrian Federation announces traditional horses sport’s contest

By Taymora Al Ghawi — MUSCAT: Jan 4: As per its plan, Equestrian Federation conducted a meeting yesterday with the representatives of clubs and Equestrian Committees of some of the wilayats of Oman. It was chaired by Ahmed Saif Al Abri, head of federation activities, in the presence of Dr Jumaa Rashid al Mashakhi, General Secretary of Oman Equestrian Federation, and Abdullah Saif al Sunidi, chairman of Traditional Horses Sport Committee. The meeting discussed the general participatory conditions for the competition, and the best mechanism which can be set up for the competition. The meeting also took note of the success the competition achieved in its maiden edition last year.
As scheduled, first activity of the competition will start in Wilayat of Al Khabourah, on January 27. The second one will be held in Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi on February 2, third in the Wilayat of Bahla on February 17. In addition, the fourth activity will be in Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali on March 3, fifth in Wilayat of Adam on March 17, and sixth will be held in the Wilayat of Al Kamel W’al Wafi on March 24. The last activity will be conducted in the Wilayat of Sur on April 7.
