ECGA approves RO 2.7m worth export credit

MUSCAT: The Export Credit Guarantee Agency Oman (ECGA) approved RO 2.759 million worth credit. The decision was made at the ECGA Executive Committee 4th meeting under the chairmanship of Said bin Saleh al Kiyoumi, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), Chairman of ECGA Board. The share of the local credit stood at RO 1.377 million compared to RO 1.382 million for export credit. The committee also approved applications for credit policies by several Omani companies in a bid to encourage Omani exports. It also approved the compensation against loss for one of policy holders. The ECGA insurance programme aims at encouraging the Omani exports to reach all countries of the world without any risks. — ONA
