MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos on Tuesday presided over a meeting of the Council of Ministers at Bait al Barakah. At the outset of the meeting, His Majesty the Sultan gave thanks and praise to the Almighty Allah for the blessings and bounties He has bestowed on Oman, praying to the Almighty to perpetuate the blessings on Oman and congratulating citizens and residents and the Muslim nation on the advent of the holy month of Ramadhan.

His Majesty also expressed his appreciation for the efforts being taken to support the economic diversification efforts which have achieved reasonable progress during this period.

His Majesty hailed the important role played by the youth, underscoring the importance of encouraging them, supporting their potentials and upgrading their qualification levels so that they benefit from the opportunities available for them.
His Majesty gave his directives to accord attention to tourism sector and other productive sectors of the economy being investment sectors which are capable of achieving tangible addition to the sources of income. His Majesty the Sultan stressed for supporting the efforts of implementation and partnership with the private sector to set up more productive projects which enhance sustainable development.
Within the framework of his review of regional and international developments, His Majesty confirmed that the Sultanate will continue to support the efforts being taken both regionally and internationally to enhance understanding and achieve rapprochement to handle the current issues in a way that achieves security and stability for states and peoples.
At the end of the meeting, His Majesty delved on a number of issues concerning the nation and the citizens. He gave his directives to all state institutions to continue their efforts to achieve the desired goals, wishing everyone success towards achieving prosperity and bounty for Oman and its dignified people. — ONA
