The Annual Round Square Carnival, one of the most awaited events of the ISG calendar, was successfully organized by the students of Class 12 on November 2, 2017.

It was received with tremendous enthusiasm by students, parents and staff alike. The event was marked with great fun, frolic and excitement as everyone visited the myriad stalls and participated in the games put up by the students.

The theme of this year’s carnival was DESI and it accurately portrayed India as a perfect example of a conglomeration of diverse cultures. The event was inaugurated by Mrs Fazeela Sunil and Mr Sunil K, Convenor, School Management Committee.

The event kickstarted with an exodus of visitors thronging the school grounds with great anticipation. The Desi foot-tapping Bollywood music set in the mood of the Carnival. The Cultural event which included rock band group solo renditions of popular songs, as well as group dances showcased the talents of the students.

The array of food stalls exhibiting authentic, mouthwatering and lip-smacking Indian dishes were relished by everyone. One of the highlights of the Carnival was the Fashion Show where students sported vibrant clothes from different regions of India, thus demonstrating the tremendous diversity existing within the country.

Some of the other major attractions such as the Bouncy Castle, Bhoot Bangla, PS4games stall, Indian Thrift store, sponge throwing and Photo booth drew in huge crowds which added to the merriment of the carnival. Students participated in the Treasure Hunt with great zeal and gusto as they trailed clues and hints and in search of hidden prizes. The Hairspray, Face Paint and Henna stalls were all huge crowd pullers where people of all age groups were fascinated by the stylish designs of our brilliant artists.

The overwhelming response of the parents who extended support and cooperation for this great event was praiseworthy. The School Management Committee appreciated the stupendous efforts of the students who made this event a grand success.
