MUSCAT: Increasing demand for expat labour force constitutes real challenge for the Ministry of Manpower and this situation necessitates revisiting and reassessment of the procedures either on the level of the ministry in general or with respect to each individual directorate. The aim of these procedures is to identify which units or directorates comply with the objective of providing job opportunities for the citizens. This was stated by Shaikh Abdullah bin Nasser al Bakri, Minister of Manpower, at an annual meeting which brought together ministry officials in charge of labour, technical education and vocational training departments. The minister affirmed the need to continue efforts in the field of e-services as well as finding mechanisms for dealing with the institutions that do not apply the e-system.
