MUSCAT: The 47th Glorious National Day celebrations will be held by the Directorate-General of Transport, Muscat Municipality, under the auspices of Ahmed bin Hilal al Busaidy, Wali of Wilayat of Muttrah at the headquarters of the Directorate at Al Wadi Kabir, at 9am today. The programme will include speeches and folk dance performances of traditional Omani art. There will also be a recitation of poems, songs by seniors, and national songs from artist Essa Al Balushi, dance performances named Al Aazi. The participants will be honoured at the end of the programme. Leading playback singer and Hindustani vocalist Manjari will render national songs during the occasion.
