Day temperatures to drop in Muscat

MUSCAT: While the chances of rain have been predicted for in most northern parts of Oman, skies are expected to be clearer and the days cooler till March 9. According to a weather forecaster, the north westerly winds will bring in the cooler temperatures. By Monday afternoon Muscat experienced warm blowing winds and this was the easterly winds.  But by evening around 5pm, the north westerly winds began to blow reaching first the Musandam and Buraimi governorates. “By Tuesday north westerly winds will cover almost all of the governorates including Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates.  The easterly winds are warm because it is blowing from the sea.  The reason for the cooler temperature is due to the north westerly wind.  The north westerly wind will remain so till March 9,” said weather forecaster. The sea conditions will be moderate along most of Oman’s coast — Musandam coast, Oman Sea and the Arabian Sea.
