Under the newly formed Oman-Kuwait joint venture company, United Leisure and Entertainment LLC,‘Trampo Extreme, Oman’ has now opened the doors of its new facility, located near the Oman Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ghala, to the public.
The 4,700sqm Trampo Extreme Family Entertainment Centre offers its customers several attractions, such as ‘Clip’N’Climb’, which is a globally renowned climbing area with 26 colourful theme challenges; ‘Drop Slide’, a slide raised to six metres off the ground which will thrill roller coaster enthusiasts; ‘Goal Jnr’, 15-minute mini football games; ‘Skytrail’, a 10m-high rope course including rope walk challenges and a zip line; ‘Ninja Zone’, an indoor obstacle course and parkour area with soft mats; and ‘Trampo Twister’, an indoor cave and tunnel area.
Their main attraction however, is the ‘Trampoline Zone’, which is Oman’s largest trampoline area, complete with foam pits, basketball, trapeze, battle beam, and air bags. Additionally, they also offer a soft play area for children called ‘Trampo Junior’ with its own trampoline zone and foam pits. The centre will also feature a ‘Digi-zone’ with a virtual reality area for exciting digital activities, as well as Oman’s only indoor scooter and skate park called ‘Skate ‘n Ride’.
Additionally, Trampo Extreme will feature 190 on-site parking spaces, event halls for the celebration of special events or social gatherings, and an indoor food zone. The food zone will consist of their specialised brand of refreshment
Furthermore, there will be an American Airstream Caravan serving burgers and fries, a converted Volkswagen Kombi which will offer ice cream and popcorn, and two cycle carts offering coffee.
Craig Ogilvie, the General Manager of United Leisure and Entertainment LLC said, “Our main objective with the launch of this new facility is to create a means for families to interact in a fun and enjoyable environment. It is in doing so that we strive to establish ourselves as one of the most unique family entertainment centres in Oman.”
In 2017, brothers Ahmed and Amro Al Silyabi, and Amro’s wife, Maha Al Riyami, were looking for entertainment options for the family’s shopping mall complex, Panorama Mall. After researching the GCC market, they came across Trampo Extreme Kuwait and consequentially pledged to join forces with the company in a local Oman-Kuwait joint venture.
“Through this venture, we hope to provide families of Oman with a healthy, fun alternative that promotes and rewards physical activity. Additionally, we put the safety of our customers beforeeverything else. We have safety operating procedures in place for each zone and ensure safety check routines and protocols are adhered to at all times; all of which are overseen by the Management.” Craig added.
Their opening hours is from 2 pm to 10 pm but subject to change during Ramadhan and School Holidays.
