MUSCAT: Yu Fulong, Chinese Ambassador to the Sultanate, hailed the strong relations between the Sultanate and his country, as well as the efforts exerted by Oman to solve regional and international issues.
Addressing a press conference at the Chinese Embassy here on Thursday on the occasion of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, he emphasised his country’s endeavours to enhance scientific and practical relations with the Sultanate in manufacturing, logistics transport, mining, fisheries, tourism and training fields to achieve merger between the Omani-Chinese development strategies.
He pointed out that the relationship between the Sultanate and China is deep-rooted and that many Chinese people visit the Sultanate for tourism, business and investment purposes.
He noted that more than 10 Chinese companies are doing businesses and that many others are waiting for the completion of infrastructure in Duqm to start operations there, as Duqm has great potential and investment opportunities. — ONA
