Charity is everyone’s mission

Do we all really realise the real meaning of charity as a social activity? I don’t think so. Perhaps only a few people are aware what charity is all about. What is the secret that makes charity worth the sacrifice and commitment? How much are we interested in contributing to the charitable organisations and the people in need?

Hundreds of questions will come to the mind in this regard, especially to people who have never even heard of or exposed to the world of charity in their life.

As a matter of fact, the word charity doesn’t come to the interest of many people in society nowadays. That’s because they are not willing to be involved in social activities or they are unaware of the impact of giving. That’s why some people are not keen to dedicate not even a little of their time or effort to support local charities.

I wonder why people don’t give it a try to volunteer at least, so they would realise the significance of charity and how rewarding it is.

Undervaluing the impact of charity on society discourages people from being involved in any kind of charity activities that are aimed at giving back to the community in one way or the other. Volunteering for a noble cause is always great and gives self-satisfaction.

The world is “hugged” by the faithful arms of volunteers and whenever a man turns he can find someone who needs him. What people need is giving a little of their time and effort to be with those in need. Always we make a life from what we give and not from what we have.

As a religious and social obligation, charity should be everyone’s interest, so we all can make a difference to society. Everyone can contribute to charity in his/her own way, either through financial support, personal time and effort.

Volunteering must be a common culture in one’s life as it allows people to share great moments with others. When everybody gets involved, we then care for one another.

One might ask that we see many charitable organisations working on serving this cause. Hence, those volunteers are doing enough to accomplish the mission. However, we should shoulder the responsibility along with them by taking part in giving back to the needy people around us.

We all must adapt to the culture of volunteering and helping others. All of us must join forces with those agencies and help them overcome the challenges they come across almost every now and then.

What we should do to feel the thrill of a charity experience is to join their initiatives. Case in point, you can spare a few moments in a campaign to visit needy families or kids with cancer admitted at a hospital. With such kids, you can share their feelings of pain.

Then, you will understand the excitement behind being a volunteer coming to serve a noble cause while sharing smiles and wishing recovery and good health for those kids.

Always remember, what you do for yourself dies with you but what you do for others and the world remains and is everlasting. That’s what people will remember. The good you do will come back to you.
