Challenges faced by investors at Raysut estate examined

MUSCAT: The Quality Improvement Committee at Raysut Industrial Estate on Wednesday held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Hamad bin Hamoud al Qasabi, Director-General of the Estate, Committee’s Chairman. The meeting discussed the current challenges being faced by investors in Raysut Industrial Estate, which falls under the umbrella of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates – Madayn. The meeting highlighted the significance of involving the investing companies to support social responsibility initiatives, generate more employment opportunities for Omanis, offer opportunities for the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and give priority to the Omani entrepreneurs.


The attending companies and factories proposed their recommendations to improve the quality of the services provided in the estate. The committee was formed in line with the efforts made by Madayn to advance performance and raise efficiency in all its industrial estates. The committee has the responsibility to try for improving the quality of the services provided in the estate, raising the level of performance through cooperation between the estate’s management and the investors, and increase its contribution to the national economy, as well as creating more investment and employment opportunities. The meeting was attended by a number of CEOs of companies and factories investing in the estate, in addition to heads of service providers. — ONA
