CBFS renews MoU with ICAI

MUSCAT: The College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding  (MOU) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for a period of 5 years from December 2016.The new MOU was signed by Dr Ahmed bin Mohsin al Ghassani, Dean, CBFS and M Devaraja Reddy, President, ICAI. The College has been sponsoring the Muscat Chapter of ICAI since 2008 and supporting its knowledge building programmes (known as Continuing Professional Education or CPE events) for its members drawn from across all sectors in Oman and also other invitees from local banks, financial companies etc. The renewed MOU envisages the widening of the relationship to extend to other areas of cooperation.   In the words of Dr Ahmed bin Mohsin al Ghassani, “The College is delighted to renew its MOU with ICAI, which adds significant value to the banking and financial sector by providing them a real-time insight into prevalent practices in accounting and finance”.
